Originally launched in 2005, the Xbox 360 was discontinued in 2016 and arrived on the market with the arduous mission of facing competitors such as the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii, replacing the original Xbox from 2001.

Now, almost 20 years following the launch of its first edition, Microsoft has officially announced its return to the North American market but not as a retro console but rather as a buildable decoration item, along the lines of well-known LEGO products.

The new product, which is signed MEGA, was named “Xbox 360 collector set” and has a 3:4 aspect ratio, that is, the assembled set measures 75% of what the original console would measure, when compared side by side and does not include any component that allows it to be used as in real life, in addition to a control and a Halo 3 game box (all following the premise of being buildable).

In addition to the console, a detail that draws attention to the new product is the wealth of details, which includes an interior that replicates the original Xbox 360, complete with a “disc player” and much more than what was previously seen. open the original version.

As can be seen in the video above, the project is considerably complex and its total size is revealed both by the photos of the box and the official website: there are 1342 pieces to fit together until everything is assembled and its age indication is for use only by people aged 18 or over.

For now, the Microsoft Xbox 360 Collector MEGA Building Set is only available through pre-order at the Target store with a suggested price of a modest US$149.99, that is, approximately R$750 in direct conversion, excluding taxes and fees. fees.
