It is noted that this problem has been corrected in the new 12V-2×6. But at the same time, other connector specifications were also changed. According to FSP, the new 12V-2×6 has the following features: a current rating of at least 9.2 A per pin with all 12 active pins and a temperature limit of 30 degrees Celsius above ambient at 12 VDC; the rms value of the current should not exceed 55 A in one direction or another; Power cables and contacts must comply with specified current and thermal limits; The connector must withstand a pulling force of at least 45 N. The corresponding software must also be updated. According to Quasarzone, FSP plans to release power supply models with the new 12V-2×6 power connector in mid-October. However, their cost is still unknown.
