The new Aldi store in Moissac will open its doors on October 11. Economical and integrated building, local purchases, the brand has placed emphasis on environmental responsibility.
It is on Avenue du Chasselas that the construction site for the new Aldi in Moissac is finishing.
“This is not a new location, but a move,” says Cyril Kennel, responsible for the development of the brand. The 9 employees who were at Aldi Castelsarrasin in the racecourse district will be reinstated there.
Accompanied by an imposing staff including the regional managers of Aldi, Cyril Kennel shows the local press and the mayor and technicians from the technical services of the Town Hall a tour of the construction site currently being finished.
The project started in April and will be completed by October 1st.
The building with a commercial area of 290 m² on an area of approximately 1,600 m² is well located at the Croix de Lauzerte intersection.
An impressive effort has been made regarding the origin of materials and the use of regional and local companies. Most of the building has a wood and concrete frame.
The building will be economical in electricity with a system which will recover the calories from the discharge of the cold machines to re-inject into the hot water…
Photovoltaic panels are installed to ensure part of the building’s consumption.
Nothing is left to chance, right down to the installation of the parking lot which is designed to drain the water, and the creation of a retention basin.
Concerning the neighborhood too, efforts have been made to place green hedges and install heat pumps in a place where this causes the least nuisance.
The development team thought that an installation in this sector would be more useful to the Moissagais.
The team and the new store director Olivier Leroy will welcome you from October 11 in this new commercial space.
