Holiday shift change “light”

Vienna (OTS) The end of the holidays in western and southern Austria, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg is noticeable on our roads, but late holidaymakers are also still heading south.

Compared to previous traffic jam weekends, however, it is “harmless,” assured the ÖAMTC traffic experts.

There were short delays on the A10, the Tauern Autobahn, between Flachau and Eben im Pongau in the direction of Salzburg and in the direction of Villach in front of the Galerie Oberweißburg.

On the Karawanken Autobahn (A11), travelers returning home had to accept a time loss of around thirty minutes before the Karawanken Tunnel border crossing.

There were other border waiting times of this magnitude on the Inntal Autobahn (A12) near Kufstein and the West Autobahn (A1) near Walserberg towards Germany.

The ÖAMTC recorded the longest traffic jam area on the Fernpassstraße (B179) from the Füssen border tunnel in Bavaria to Heiterwang.
