The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Tyler Motte.
Motte agreed to a pact worth $800,000.
The 28-year-old played in 62 games last season with the Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers, scoring eight goals and recording eleven assists.
Motte became an unrestricted free agent this summer following signing a one-year contract with Ottawa in September 2022.
He played 331 career games over seven seasons in Ottawa, with the Rangers, Vancouver, Columbus and Chicago, recording 43 goals and 81 points.
The forward was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the fourth round, 121st overall, in the 2013 draft.
Furthermore, general manager Julien BriseBois announced that forward Josh Archibald had been placed on waivers in order to release him.

Looking for depth within his forward group, new Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas has offered Colin White a tryout contract.
The American right-handed center is leaving the Florida Panthers following just one season, having ended up at Sunrise as an unrestricted free agent last summer.
With the Panthers, the former first round pick of the Ottawa Senators (21st overall) collected 15 points (8-7) in 68 regular season games. He added two assists in 21 playoff games.
For his entire NHL career, the 26-year-old forward has totaled 113 points (44-69) in 292 games.
