Following the powerful earthquake of magnitude 7 which struck Morocco, the musicians of the Orchestra e Coro del Teatro alla Scala, who were to perform this Saturday September 9 in Bozar, will not be able to arrive in Brussels to perform the concert which was to be conducted by Riccardo Chailly.
The Bozar website announces the cancellation of the concert for this Saturday, September 9: “It is with regret that we announce to you the cancellation of the concert of the Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro alla Scala, which was to take place this evening, Saturday September 9, at the Palais des Beaux-Arts. Due to the earthquakes that hit Morocco, the musicians’ travel itinerary has been disrupted and it will unfortunately not be possible for them to arrive in Brussels on time. Tickets purchased for this concert will be refunded. We thank you for your understanding. In these dramatic circumstances, our thoughts are with the victims of the earthquake and their loved ones.”
