Céline, 14, does not want to go out with Jean, a boy from her school. The latter does not let go of the matter, which seriously annoys the young girl. One day, she talks regarding it to her brother, Théo (23 years old), who is determined to get back on track with the young seducer.

On June 11, 2021, Céline comes home crying, she can no longer stand Jean who is harassing her. Théo decides to go find Jean. He goes to school and meets Jean in a park. More than two years later, he must answer for premeditated beatings before the criminal court.

“I dispute premeditation. I didn’t go find him and hit him. The trigger was when he pulled out a knife and threatened me,” says Théo.

A measure of favor

Physically stronger than his opponent, Théo slapped him and punched and kicked him. The story might have ended there, but the police decided to summon Théo, following the filing of a complaint. Théo never reported to the police and was the subject of a reporting procedure.

“He did not want to collaborate in the investigation, giving the impression that he minimized the facts. I am not opposed to a preferential measure, but I believe that this appearance before the court will have served him as a lesson,” says the deputy prosecutor.

This favorable measure is pleaded by the defense. “He understood that nothing justifies so much violence,” argues his lawyer. Théo has no criminal record and is currently undergoing training to find a job.

Judgment on October 2.
