Afsca has decided to withdraw from sale and recall from consumers wholemeal flour from the Bauckhof brand due to a too high content of tropane alkaloids, the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain announced on Saturday.
The product in question is Teff Mehl Bio (wholemeal flour) from the Bauckhof brand with expiry dates (BAD) 09/19/23 and 10/30/23 and weighing 400 grams. The lot numbers affected are 227824 and 228871.
The product was sold through various points of sale in Belgium.
