Every day, hundreds of properties change hands in Quebec, most without us knowing the fine details. That was before we were interested in it… Here are the latest transactions that caught our attention.
An owner from Baie-D’Urfé, a small municipality on the west of the island of Montreal, has just sold her home for $4.25 million, six times the price paid seven years earlier.
With an area of 250 m2 (or 2,691 sq. ft.) on a single floor, 695 Westchester Street sits on a large grassy lot of 2,075 m2 (22,337 sq. ft.).
This residence, built in 1964, was purchased by the seller in August 2016 for $635,000. Seven years later, Anna Argento sold it for $3.2 million more.
On the last assessment roll, this residence was valued at $1,730,400 million, or 41% more than the value assigned to it three years earlier. A transfer tax of $62,093 is added to the purchase price for buyers.
