Paris Design Weekl’free event essential for enthusiasts of design and of decorationis back in the capital for a new edition from September 7 to 16, 2023. The opportunity to discover the latest trends in the field, signed by recognized creators or young talents, in sometimes unusual places in the City of Lights.
For ten colorful days, Paris is transformed into a vast playground for design lovers, with expositionsof the conferencesof the workshops and art installations scattered in various areas of the city.

Uchronia
Like a summer evening breeze, Uchronia settles into the Orangery of the Hôtel de Sully. A radiant and colorful atmosphere spreads from room to room like a sunset piercing through the arched windows in gradient tones.

Le Bon Marché Left Bank
A colorful start to the school year is being prepared at Bon Marché Rive Gauche, on the occasion of the Olé Olé exhibition, imagined with the iconic Rossy de Palma! The opportunity to highlight the best of Hispanic fashion, craftsmanship and design. For its first participation in the event, the Grand Magasin is hosting the inauguration evening of Paris Design Week 2023 on Thursday September 7 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Jeremy Maxwell
Jeremy Maxwell Wintrebert presents a sculptural work at the Hôtel de la Marine. A jewel of the 18th century, the building houses a modern installation of blown glass discs in its largest courtyard. Representing the formation of a star, the work dialogues between the past and the present, the terrestrial and the celestial, traditional craftsmanship and contemporary creation. The installation, created in situ, is made up of 80 blown glass vaults, with a total surface area of approximately 11 meters long by 4 meters wide.

Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées
Kitesy Martin’s “Planète Renew” exhibition is taking place in the private room of Galeries Lafayette Champs Élysées. It depicts an exhausted world where men take refuge on another planet with their most precious possessions. Thanks to these remains of earthly objects, everyday life is reconstructed using upcycled objects. “Planète Renew” invites visitors to discover this new world through the apartment of one of its inhabitants.

Galeries Lafayette Haussmann
Korean artist Kimsooja presents the monumental site-specific installation “To Breathe” at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. The historic dome of the Grand Magasin is adorned with a film that diffracts natural light into a multitude of colors, changing the interior and exterior surfaces into ephemeral iridescent landscapes throughout the day.

The Pierre Marie Gallery
Since its opening in 2018, La Galerie de Pierre Marie has offered one exhibition per year in which Pierre Marie creates a decorative ensemble composed of works and small pieces of furniture self-published and made by the finest of artistic craftsmanship.

Le Corbusier’s apartment-studio
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is located in an innovative building designed with Pierre Jeanneret between 1931 and 1934, and comprising 8 floors of entirely glass facades. The 240m2 duplex houses both the architect’s accommodation and painting studio. Bathed in light and open to nature, the space reflects the characteristic elements of its style: free plan, large bay windows, roof terrace, polychromy and huge pivoting doors.
