ABU DHABI, 8th September, 2018 (WAM) – His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, received today at His Excellency’s Palace in Abu Dhabi, His Excellency Ararat Meroyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, who is currently visiting the UAE, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to support them in all fields, in the interest of the two friendly peoples, in addition to discussing regional and international issues of common interest.
His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan welcomed the Armenian guest and his accompanying delegation, stressing the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries and the importance of developing them in all fields, in addition to coordinating positions at the level of international organizations in a way that serves issues of international peace and security and achieves stability and prosperity for all.
His Excellency noted the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” to strengthen cooperation with all countries of the world within the framework of the UAE’s full commitment to promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence, and human brotherhood, and supporting all efforts aimed at achieving stability and peace around the world… praising the efforts. Joint efforts made by the leadership of the two countries to develop cooperation relations in various fields.
For his part, His Excellency Ararat Meryan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, expressed his deep appreciation for the wise leadership of the UAE and its friendly people, stressing that his meeting with His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak was very friendly and fruitful and addressed many issues of common interest.
The Armenian Minister praised the unique Emirati experience in the field of promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence and human brotherhood, which had the greatest impact at the international level. He noted the depth and importance of the experience because of its human dimension that can contribute to finding common ground for dialogue between nations and peoples around the world.
