The NFL season is here and ESPN Deportes experts offer their bold predictions for 2023, overreactions and their picks for Super Bowl LVIII.
Welcome to the 2023-24 NFL season! With it come new and interesting bold predictions, overreactions and picks for Super Bowl LVIII.
The wait lasted 178 days that, when you look in the rearview mirror, now seem like they passed in a flash, but within that period many things happened that were talked regarding tirelessly and among so many events, the departure of Aaron Rodgers from Green stands out. Bay to renew his spirit in the Big Apple with the New York Jets.
Another new challenge that this new campaign presents is the fact that, now, we will have to get used to seeing the NFL without Tom Brady on the field, although in 2024, the one considered by many to be the best quarterback in history will return, but for analyze and criticize those who were previously his rivals on television.
A lot has happened in the last seven months and it has all begun to reveal itself, for better or worse, since the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs kicked off the first game of the season.
For now, let’s take a look at how the ESPN Deportes experts predict the next five months will play out and their picks for the Week 1.

BOLD PREDICTION IN THE AFC WEST
Patrick Mahomes will lose for the first time on a visit to a division rival
Since his first game as a starter in the regular season in his first year in the NFL (2017), the Chiefs have not lost a road game once morest their rivals in the AFC West, that is, in five full seasons plus the aforementioned game, or 16 games in total until 2022, Mahomes does not know what it is like to lose at the home of the Los Angeles Chargers, the Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Stating that a team will lose at the home of a division rival is usually not bold, but we are talking regarding a 16-game streak that began in the first game of a quarterback who has led his team to appear in five consecutive conference finals, to three Super Bowl appearances and winning two of them.
Jimmy Garoppolo will surpass 30 touchdown passes in 2023
Only injuries have prevented the new Las Vegas Raiders quarterback from having 20 or more touchdown passes in two of the last four seasons, but the 2023 season will be different and Jimmy G will complete a season for the first time since 2019 and so on, He will overcome that barrier and perhaps the 30 touchdown passes.
The fact that he has Davante Adams as a target for the Raiders is reason enough to consider that Garoppolo will also release his arm with singular joy.
OVERREACTION FOR THE 2023 SEASON
The Raiders are going to sneak into the Playoffs
The doubts regarding their defense, with the exception of Maxx Crosby, regarding Jimmy Garoppolo and his durability and in some cases, his ability, and the brutal first part of their schedule make many believe that the 2023 season will be very long for the Raiders, without However, those in black and silver have important players in key positions that can be the basis for doing something more than many believe.
Nobody is saying that they are going to challenge the heavyweights of the AFC, but a good start to the season, perhaps winning three of their first six games, might be the platform from which Las Vegas launches into the Playoffs with the seventh seed in the conference .
PICK PARA EL SUPER BOWL LVIII
San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Champion: Chiefs
This duel will become an NFL classic as they meet for the second time in five years in the game for the Vince Lombardi Trophy… but the result will be the same as that of Super Bowl LIV, because if Patrick Mahomes and Their offense is that they can beat any defense they face, even if it is the most aggressive and dominant in the league.

BOLD PREDICTION IN THE NFC NORTH
The Green Bay Packers will be the champions of their division
I am clear that the Detroit Lions finished last season with eight wins in their last 10 games and start as favorites in the division, however, there is a big difference between flying under the radar and dealing with the responsibility of being a protagonist.
There is some mystery around Jordan Love, but I really like what I’ve seen from the quarterback in limited snaps and the Packers are going to run Matt LaFleur’s offense, that is, prominence of the running game and getting rid of the quick ball. If Green Bay’s defense, which has interesting names, takes a leap in quality, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Packers take the division crown when no one considers them for the title.
BOLD PREDICTION IN THE NFC WEST
Christian McCaffrey will finish with more total yards than any other player in the NFL
McCaffrey has a unique explosiveness and if he can stay healthy, no one denies that he is one of the best players in the league, although even more important is the fact that he feels like a fish in water with Kyle Shanahan in a system that makes the runners and Brock Purdy uses his runners a lot as a safety valve for air.

McCaffrey is so versatile, he can even line up outside and we know Shanahan likes to be creative. San Francisco is part of what I consider the most lopsided division in the NFL and McCaffrey is going to have a historic season if he can stay healthy.
OVERREACTION FOR THE 2023 SEASON
Jordan Love will finish the season with better numbers than Aaron Rodgers
The New York Jets have taken all the spotlight and Rodgers looks motivated in his new area code, but he has just suffered 12 interceptions, the most for him since 2011, and he turns 40 in December. As if that were not enough, there are endless questions with the offensive line and outside of Garrett Wilson, the Jets do not have reliable weapons through the air.
The start of New York’s schedule is not easy and I would not be surprised if Love, who dealt with Rodgers’ departure masterfully and has been highly praised by his teammates, ends with a better season than Rodgers.
PICK PARA SUPER BOWL LVIII
San Francisco 49ers vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Champion: Bengals
Joe Burrow gave the Bengals a bit of a scare in the preseason, but he would be able to play in week one. The quarterback has enviable parsimony in the pocket and has done well once morest the Kansas City Chiefs, who are the defending champions. The Bengals defense has suffered some losses, especially on the perimeter, but they are still one of the most underrated units in the league.
The 49ers are, in my opinion, in a less competitive conference than the AFC and Purdy has yet to lose a game he started and finished. San Francisco’s defense will possibly be the best in the NFL, although they need Nick Bosa to resolve his contract situation.
Duel of the titans in Las Vegas. It’s time for Burrow and for the Bengals to win the first Super Bowl in their history.

BOLD PREDICTION IN THE AFC NORTH
The Steelers will enter the Playoffs as the seventh and final seed in the AFC
Mike Tomlin always has competitive teams and you should never count out the Steelers. The forecasts place them as the worst team in the division, but without being at the level of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens, they can surpass the Cleveland Browns.

The Steelers need to improve on the offensive line to run the ball and provide protection for Kenny Pickett. With that defense, they can have a decent season and make the Playoffs despite everyone saying otherwise.
BOLD PREDICTION IN THE NFC SOUTH
Derek Carr will lead the New Orleans Saints to the Divisional Round
There is no doubt that the Saints are the best team in their division… or the least bad, but I dare to think that they can reach the Divisional Round. The arrival of Derek Carr will give the Saints the presence in the quarterback position that they did not have, at least, since the departure of Drew Brees, in addition, Carr will now have defense, something he did not have in all his years with Las Vegas Raiders.
The Saints can go far in the Playoffs, in large part, because the NFC only has two clear candidates for the Super Bowl: the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles. It’s bold to think the Saints might be among the best in the NFC, but that’s what this is regarding.
OVERREACTION FOR THE 2023 SEASON
The Dallas Cowboys will reach the Super Bowl
They are not direct candidates to win their division or the NFC, but they are among the five favorites and anything can happen in a season.
The Eagles and 49ers are the clear favorites, but Dallas has the talent on the defensive end and on offense, coach Mike McCarthy’s offensive profile is an advantage. The Cowboys are a Playoff team and if they arrive with a good streak and rhythm, they can be very dangerous.
Dallas is at that point where they can either be a total bust or a huge surprise. I’m going for the second.

BOLD PREDICTIONS IN THE AFC NORTH
Christian Gonzalez will be the best cornerback in the division
Last year, Sauce Gardner won the division’s Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Heading into 2023, another cornerback, rookie Christian Gonzalez of the New England Patriots, will be in the conversation for this award.
In the past, Bill Belichick’s defensive system has taken advantage of other cornerbacks (since the days of Ty Law, exalted with Darrelle Revis and complemented by others like Asante Samuel or Stephon Gilmore), so the former Oregon player will look like swiss army knife in his professional debut.
Patriots will finish in last place in the division
New England will not reach the Playoffs and, furthermore, it will not be enough to keep the first overall pick in the 2024 draft.

The Patriots would love to have the chance to draft Caleb Williams or Drake Maye, but those still nostalgic for Tom Brady will finish the 2023 season with a better record than the Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and to Las Vegas Raiders.
OVERREACTION FOR THE 2023 SEASON
Davante Adams will be traded to the Jets
The trade period will throw up a big surprise and it will be due to a direct request from Aaron Rodgers to the Jets management, not only because he wants to add another of his friends to his new team, but because the Jets lack a second quality receiver proven and, well, because for Mr. Rodgers, his salary was lowered in order to clean up the salary cap.
PICK PARA EL SUPER BOWL LVIII
Buffalo Bills vs. Philadelphia Eagles
CHAMPION: Eagles
The team with the best roster in the NFL will return to the title game, now once morest the Bills whose great season by Josh Allen will allow them to return to the Super Bowl, but only to repeat what the legendary experienced at the time. Jim Kelly: failing to win it.
Rocky’s music will be heard in Las Vegas while green confetti falls and Jalen Hurts is awarded the MVP of Super Bowl LVIII to the ecstasy of his loyal and tough fans.

BOLD PREDICTION IN THE NFC EAST
The Cowboys are going to be crowned in the National East
Dallas has the best team in terms of talent on defense along with the best coordinator there is currently on that side of the ball, Dan Quinn, in addition to reinforcements such as cornerback Stephon Gilmore and their first-round college pick, defensive tackle Mazi Smith, to fill his two main needs from last year.

Dak Prescott received a lot of help on offense with the signing of Brandin Cooks and the change of play-calling, which is now in the hands of coach Mike McCarthy.
Jalen Hurts will be far from the MVP level he had in 2022
The loss of running back Miles Sanders and the knowledge that rival defenses have of Hurts’ style is much greater than what they had last year and the level of defenses he will face in 2023 is one of the most complicated in the NFL for this campaign.
BOLD PREDICTIONS IN THE AFC SOUTH
Trevor Lawrence will be a solid candidate for the MVP award
Yes. In his second year under the tutelage of coach Doug Pederson, the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback will remember the Trevor Lawrence who shone in his college days and the help of receiver Calvin Ridley will be valuable.
The Tennessee Titans will finish at the bottom of the division
With Derrick Henry already too banged up, no real solution at quarterback, a low-quality offensive line, no depth among his receivers and the worst pass defense of last year, the Titans will stop being competitive and will be overtaken. by the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts.
OVERREACTION FOR THE 2023 SEASON
The Cowboys will reach the NFC Championship Game for the first time since the 1995 season.
PICK PARA EL SUPER BOWL LVIII
Cincinnati Bengals vs San Francisco 49ers
Champion: 49ers
