Sitting for most people is an everyday thing, like breathing. However, there are jobs where they are prevented and ordered to always be on their feet for hours.

For this reason, the Silla Law arose, which has the objective of allowing Mexicans to sit at their jobs. The working conditions of standing for hours during the day apply, for example, to cashiers and security guards.

The idea of ​​a Chair Law began to spread on the networks thanks to the political organization Mexicolectivo which, together with legislators from Movimiento Ciudadano, promoted this proposal so that companies allow their workers to sit down.

The fact that people remain standing for long periods of time affects their health, since it can cause injuries to the back, legs and ankles.

What are the diseases caused by standing for a long time?

Standing for a long time, without the possibility of resting and sitting down, has an impact on people’s physical health. Some of the arguments of the Silla Law highlight the diseases that can develop.

These affections have two origins: the wear and tear of the structures, secondary to use, overuse or misuse; therefore, its frequency increases with age.
