According to court documents obtained by Fox News, a judge ruled Wednesday that the star’s ex-wife Yellowstone had to reimburse her for her attorney’s fees as their long and difficult divorce draws to a close. Kevin Costner previously asked Christine Baumgartner to pay ‘reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs incurred’ following she ‘refused in bad faith’ to answer questions sent by the actor’s legal team. The claim was for $14,237.50.

During Wednesday’s hearing (6 Sept. 23), Judge Thomas Anderle approved certain elements of the actor’s request. He ordered his ex-wife to pay $14,000 in attorney fees and approved a series of questions for her to answer by September 22. The judge also denied Christine Baumgartner’s request that her ex-husband pay $9,000 in attorney fees and hand over his financial documents.

He explained, “I spent a lot of time trying to figure out exactly what you didn’t have.” None of the parties appeared at the hearing.

Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner married in 2004 and she filed for divorce in May. At an earlier hearing, he was ordered to pay her $63,209 a month in child support for their three children.
