The Ottawa Senators have made sure to retain the services of one of the cornerstones of their defensive brigade for the next few years.
The team announced on Wednesday an eight-year, more than $64.4 million extension to young defenseman Jake Sanderson, the 5th overall pick of the 2020 draft.
This agreement will come into effect before the start of the 2024-2025 calendar and will run until the end of the 2031-2032 campaign.
The 21-year-old Sanderson has just completed his rookie season in the National Hockey League.
