2023-09-06 19:49:00

A team from the Germinalt police zone was called in by the management of Nalinnes Special Education Primary School on Tuesday followingnoon to calm down a 9-year-old child who was being difficult. The scene, filmed by the minor’s mother, shows a policeman busy controlling the child on the ground. “The management got it under control at first, before calling on our services. We don’t enter schools like that. The child was difficult and the mother did not respond to calls from the school” , recalled Alain Bal, head of the Germinalt police zone.

According to our colleagues from Sudinfo, a complaint was filed by the mother. Proceedings once morest the latter are not excluded by the police zone. “A report was drawn up for the Charleroi King’s prosecutor. The minor’s mother decided to film the scene and do what is called bashing while the police simply did their job and did their best to preserve the safety of both the management at the origin of the call and the child. With this video, there is a strong risk of attacking the police, but the mother will also have to assume her responsibilities. We will explain in particular that there were calls and she did not intervene immediately for some reason. If our colleagues are attacked, we will defend them”, confirmed the head of the body.

Contacted, the Charleroi public prosecutor’s office will communicate on the facts on Thursday.
