Cooperation in Talent Development Program and Future Organizational Plans Discussed at AFC Meeting

Pyeongchang (South Korea) on 6 September / WAM / Ahmed Al Bahar, Assistant Secretary-General of the Emirates Table Tennis Federation, member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Confederation, reviewed with the Chairman of the Development Committee of the Chinese Federation ways of cooperation in the field of “talent development” program in the UAE, and coordination between the two federations in Organizing joint camps and exchanging experiences.
This came following his participation in the AFC Ordinary General Assembly meeting in PyeongChang, South Korea, on the sidelines of the current edition of the Asian Table Tennis Championship.
Al-Bahr confirmed that the meeting reviewed the reports of tournaments, events and activities during the last period on the continent level, and reviewed the agenda of the tournaments scheduled for 2024-2025, and the countries nominated to host them, and set the final date for the Asian qualifiers for the Paris Olympics 2024, by the end of next March, and adding a tournament for the category of people of determination, And organizing the first AFC Champions League in 2024.
He added, “My visit to South Korea was also an opportunity to learn regarding its experience in organizing the current Asian Championship, and to work on benefiting from it in organizing continental championships in the country in the future.”
