Employees of some authorities are no longer allowed to bring Apple iPhones and devices from some other manufacturers to the workplace, wrote the “Wall Street Journal”, citing insiders. However, it is unclear how many employees have received this order and which providers are affected in addition to Apple.
The Chinese authorities might not immediately be reached for comment. The People’s Republic has passed some new laws in recent years due to data protection concerns. At the same time, she called on domestic companies to reduce their dependence on foreign technologies.
