The relationship between Mayor Orozco and the workers of Las Heras is deteriorating. After the communication made by the United Union of Municipal Workers of Las Heras (SUTRAMLH) in which they demanded from the community chief the payment of the bonus announced at the national level of $60,000, the parties have not reached an agreement.
This Tuesday, September 5, the union issued a new statement making the State of Alert, Strike and Mobilization official. The letter entered at the municipality’s ticket desk puts Orozco on notice regarding the situation.
In this way, Sergio Ruel, Secretary General of SUTRAM, made the measure of force official. “Attentive to the insufficiency of the proposal made by the municipal Executive regarding the bonus that was announced at the national level, and that is paid at the provincial level and in all the departments of our province,” the municipalities claim.
While they announce: “our entity as of Wednesday 9/6 and until Friday 9/8, is in a state of Alert, Strike and Mobilization from 07:00 am.”
This Wednesday the 6th there will be a meeting of the body of delegates together with the union commission to evaluate the scope of the measure of force. While on Thursday the strike of municipal workers will be scheduled. In this sense, among the workers of the commune they circulated a message that says. “Comrades. It is time for all of us to be united for this cause, which is the $60,000 bonus. Tomorrow -for this Wednesday- each delegate will inform the assembly in their area of the proposal that the Executive made to us and the counter-proposal that we left At 10 am, meeting of delegates in our union. And we will determine the strike for Thursday and Friday and the modality. Today the Ministry of Labor was duly notified. Let’s all try to attend the meeting of delegates and above all things We are united in this situation.”

The Union has not yet made official which areas will be affected or what modality the measure of force will have. “It will be decided in the assembly this Wednesday,” they explained to the Post.
