Tomorrow, the Long Night of Industrial Culture will take place for the third time in the Traunsee-Almtal region. From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., interested parties will be able to take a look behind the scenes of industry and experience it up close.
For this year’s Long Night of Industrial Culture, 14 companies, nine museums and the training and competence centers Waldcampus Österreich and Pferdezentrum Stadl-Paura open their doors and offer an exciting supporting program. This includes presentations, guided tours, tours, product demonstrations, dialogues and much more. The aim is to present authentic industry up close to schoolchildren, students, those looking for a job or an apprenticeship, but also to tourists, locals and people who are generally interested, and to give them the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history of the industry. The companies and museums are rounded off and musically supported by the Gmundner Festwochen, which put together an individual music program.
The OÖ Seilbahnholding is on board for the first time: at the valley and mountain stations of the Grünberg cable car you get an insight into how such a lift works. Also new are the Hatschek cement plant in Pinsdorf, which offers guided tours, and the Linsinger machine construction company in Laakirchen, which offers an insight into the production of the milling technology. Companies that were there last year include Salinen Austria AG, the Schloss Eggenberg brewery and Gmundner Ceramics. Participating museums include the Ebensee Museum, the Viechtauer Heimathaus, the Steyrermühl Papermaking Museum and the Geyerhammer Scythe Museum.
