Facebook switches off “Facebook News” in Germany, France and Great Britain. At the beginning of December, this service, which presents selected news, will no longer be available in these countries, the Facebook parent company Meta announced in a blog post on Tuesday. However, users may still see links to messages. The publishers also retained access to their Facebook accounts.
The company justified the decision with little interest. “News accounts for less than three percent of what people around the world see on their Facebook feed.”
