The Neuquén Judicial Employees Union (Sejun) requested the replacement of a member of the examining board in a contest, because she does not belong to the Judiciary, “does not have the necessary requirements for the appointment” and “Several of the people nominated are co-workers.” Consequently, they fear that impartiality in the selection is lost.

The proposal was formulated by Claudio Salazar and Gisella Bertone, Sejun’s general secretary and finance secretary, who requested the suspension of the exam that should be carried out this Tuesday in the contest to cover “A position of Social Worker destined for the Unique Registry of Adoption of Neuquén«.

According to official information, there are 22 registered people in a position to render, and the jury is made up of Edith Vallejos, Viviana Toselli and Gisela Maxuell.

The union’s presentation indicates that Vallejos “is not part of the Judicial Power plant” and performs functions “in the executive branch” from the province.

He adds that his appointment is “inappropriate”, and highlights that “several people nominated are co-workers” of the jury.

Salazar and Bertone request the removal of Vallejos and his replacement by someone from the Judiciary “to ensure the objectivity and impartiality of the evaluation”.
