Singer and actor Jimmy Buffett is dead. His biggest hit was “Margaritaville.” Also appeared several times in the series “Hawaii Five-0”, as well as in “Blue Bloods” or the film “Jurassic World”.

Jimmy Buffett passed away on September 1st at the age of 76. An official cause of death was not given. Loud TMZ skin cancer was said to be the cause. The musician and actor was admitted to a Boston hospital in May. Buffett’s biggest hit of his illustrious on-stage career was “Margaritaville,” a song that garnered several restaurant openings. During his lifetime he released 29 studio albums, 14 live albums, nine compilation albums and eight special albums. Other well-known songs are “Come Monday”, “A Pirate Looks at Forty” or “Son of a Son of a Sailor”.
It said on social media: “Jimmy passed away peacefully on the night of September 1st surrounded by family, friends, music and dogs. He lived his life like a song to his last breath and is sorely missed by so many.&rdquo

Series fans may also have seen Buffett on Hawaii Five-0, where he appeared in several episodes as Frank Bama, a pilot and sidekick to Joe White (Terry O’Quinn), who first appeared in season two, and Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) and gave the task force a helping hand on several occasions.
In the twelfth season of Blue Bloods, he also played con artist Dicky Delaney, who posed as Jimmy Buffett to steal free drinks and food. Buffett then plays himself in the same episode. He also appeared in “Jurassic World” where he made a brief cameo fleeing from attacking dinosaurs with some margaritas.
Series producer Peter Lenkov shared a memory of his time with Buffett via Instagram. According to this, the musician once flew him barefoot to Hawaii and they wanted to buy a seaplane company together
