In these recordings, the princess recounted the sinking of her couple with Prince Charles
The contents of new audio recordings of Lady Di, in the 90s, have just been made public. We learn in particular that Prince Charles had been disappointed to have a second boy, rather than a girl, to the great displeasure of the princess.

“At Harry’s christening, Charles approached mum (Raine Spencer, Diana’s stepmother, editor’s note) and said, ‘You know we were so disappointed, we thought it was a girl’. to which the second wife of Diana’s father would have retorted: “You should realize how lucky you are to have a healthy child.” After William, born in 1982, the couple welcomed Harry, born in 1984 .
These recordings were made by the Princess of Wales herself, a few years before her death in 1997, and passed on to her biographer Andrew Morton. Interviewed on the ABC channel on Friday, the latter expressed his intact emotion listening to these tapes. The latest content will be unveiled in an upcoming Netflix documentary titled: “Diana: the rest of her story”.
In these six tapes, she opens up like never before regarding her relationship with Prince Charles, from their meeting in the late 1970s to their separation, including their marriage and their honeymoon.

In a recording unveiled last year, the one who had predicted his disappearance in an accident evokes his honeymoon with the son of Queen Elizabeth II. While she hoped to live magical moments, these were marred by the feelings that her husband felt for Camilla Parker-Bowles. “The honeymoon was grim,” Diana Spencer summed up in a tape. “I had this immense hope in me which was shattered on the second day. In bed, really, it was very weird. We opened our diaries to discuss the schedule. And there, two photos of Camilla fall from the notebook . Oh my God, the fight that followed,” she testified.
