How to send photos and videos in HD on WhatsApp
August 2023 was the month WhatsApp introduced some of the most requested features by its users. First, the sending of high-definition photos arrived, then, a few days later, we saw the sending of high-resolution videos. Thanks to these two functions, sharing images on WhatsApp no longer means accepting that they lose much of their sharpness.
As we have already mentioned, sending photos and videos in HD on WhatsApp is a particularly simple procedure. You don’t need advanced skills, just follow these steps:
Open WhatsApp and enter the conversation in which you want to send the images. Click on the fastener button at the bottom and enter “Gallery”.
Select pictures you want to share and click the green checkmark in the bottom right. Click on the bouton « HD » which appears at the top. Select the “HD Quality” option and send the content.
This feature allows you to preserve the original quality of the image you are regarding to send. In the example we gave, the resolution is only 1280 x 720 pixels, but we have also tested with other images up to 4096 x 2692 pixels and the tool works the same. Note that standard quality is configured by default, so you need to always follow the procedure mentioned above to send photos and videos in HD.
If you don’t have the HD button on your smartphone yet, you just need to update whatsapp app to receive the tool in question. Once you have updated, you should already have access to this feature which will completely change your experience of sharing audiovisual content on the messaging platform. Remember that sending files on WhatsApp is limited to 2GB in sizeso you won’t be able to send larger videos.
