The function is displayed at the top of the screen following choosing its image. It seems to allow photos to be sent in their original definition.
However, if this option allows videos to retain a greater definition than before, it is impossible to send large 4K files, for example. Thus, the HD option of 16:9 videos reduces their definition to 720 x 1280 px.
The deployment of this new function has already begun and will continue gradually. Android and iOS apps are affected.
