Still on the hot news of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, let’s now look at its electrified version.
This supercar, produced in 33 copies, was offered to buyers in a thermal version with a 3.0L V6 of more than 620 hp, but also an electric version of more than 750 hp.
The electric version is made up of three motors, one at the front and two at the rear, and a 102 kWh battery offering a range of approximately 450 km. There is no official figure, but the weight would still be just over 2 tons.
The performances remain exceptional with a 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds and a maximum speed of more than 300 km/h.
And yet… that will not be enough. Offered in thermal and electric, Alfa Romeo hoped to sell 16 thermal models and 16 electric models. Nevertheless, the latest rumors claim that the electric version would not have won the hearts of buyers, these all turning to the thermal version.
Contacted by italpassion, Alfa Romeo has confirmed to us that to date 2 customers have chosen the electric model. However, specifying that “from the signing of the contract, each client has one year to change their mind. Some are still reluctant to switch from thermal to electric. We will therefore be able to give a thermal / BEV mix once the choices are fully locked. »
It is therefore interesting to note that, in the world of luxury, the choice between a combustion engine and an electric one is quickly made. It is perhaps for this reason that Maserati is taking its time with the electric MC20 technical cousin which, as a reminder, was originally planned for 2020…
