Samsung perseveres in the smart home segment! He presented his latest innovations on Thursday at the big IFA 2023 fair in Berlin. The Korean giant has unveiled a series of new screens, including one dedicated to Disney’s 100th anniversary. It has also optimized its applications for the connected home.

The SmartThings system enables its 285 million users to tailor their smart home environment to their individual needs through control of apps and devices through a single app. And Samsung does not intend to stop there. It relies in particular on Samsung Food, which offers 160,000 recipes to gain ground in connected kitchens! It’s up to everyone to see…

Eventually this application will be connected to Samsung Health and its health data, which is very confidential. The company also plans to use artificial intelligence to offer menus adapted to its customers. Interesting, but yet once more, we find that our most private data is potentially delivered on a platter to third parties.

New innovative screens

Still the TV market leader, the Korean has already expanded its premium range this year with the 98-inch QN990C Neo QLED 8K and QLED Q80C 4K. The company now plans to launch its full range of TVs equipped with Micro-LED technology on the European market by the end of the year. On the menu? Improved contrast and more detail.

To celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary, Samsung has released ‘The Frame – Disney100’, a limited edition smart TV with a platinum silver metal frame and Mickey Mouse-inspired remote control. The device comes with 100 artworks from Walt Disney The Frame Studios — Disney 100 Edition is also available in Switzerland. Its anti-reflective screen is really impressive!

This is the 2nd generation Freestyle

At the press conference, Samsung launched the 2nd generation The Freestyle small projector. This mobile device provides a widescreen-like experience by projecting the image onto different surfaces, including the ceiling. Thanks to a special function, two “Freestyle 2nd Generation” devices can be connected to create projection surfaces of up to almost 4 meters!

On the Samsung stand, which communicated extensively on its various efforts to limit its impact and those of all these devices on the environment, it also staged the use of this small projector in a camping situation, with a screen size much more limited and appropriate to the size of this accessory.
