Help Animals Refuge: Discover a Haven for Horses, Farm Animals, and Cats in Braine-le-Château

2023-08-31 17:25:00

The Help Animals refuge in Braine-le-Château is equipped with unique facilities and is surrounded by 4 ha of meadows which allow it to take care of horses, farm animals and cats. The objective of the open doors organized there on the two days of this weekend is twofold: “Raise public awareness of the animal cause, and celebrate the successes and miracles accomplished within the shelter by our everyday heroes. Because it’s a fact: from year to year, the number of rescues carried out by the shelter has continued to increase, going from 205 in 2019 to 431 in 2022, an increase of more than 52%. . To date, we have already exceeded last year’s record, while the year 2023 is not over. Fortunately, the number of adoptions is also increasing proportionally, and we can increasingly count on our members and donors to help us with this.” explains Nadège Pineau, operational manager of the Help Animals shelters – another shelter of the non-profit organization is in Anderlecht.

This weekend, visitors will be able to enjoy a wide variety of activities for young and old: gastronomy, crafts, music (a concert on Sunday at 2 p.m.), etc.

But these open houses will above all feature the animals of the shelter: “From affectionate cats to mischievous bunnies, majestic horses to charming pigs, a variety of animals eagerly await to meet our visitors…”

See you on both days of this weekend, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., at Help Animals, rue du Bois d’Apechau, 10, 1440 Braine-le-Château.
