A Maryland mother reported that her son has allegedly been assaulted since school began, a fact that would have been repeated on Wednesday.
“My son has been assaulted here inside Parkdale High School and I was not notified of what was happening,” said the woman who preferred to remain anonymous.
The mother of three children reported that the minor, 14 years old and who suffers from autism, was allegedly threatened on the first day of school by other classmates who told her they were going to rob her.
However, the woman alleges that the threats were increasing.
“Yesterday he was attacked around 11:30 in the morning. Leaving the cafeteria, the boy attacked him from behind, he was with two others, ”he explained.
The mother said that a school staff informed her that the alleged attacker had received a warning.
“The truth is that I am afraid because if this is happening right now and the school did not inform me, how do they expect to inform me when they take my son out in the ambulance?” he questioned.
NBC 7 contacted Prince George’s County Public Schools to find out if that procedure is correct but, as of press time, we have not received a response.
“Well, he is nervous and fearful, today he did not go to school because his eye is inflamed,” the mother explained.
If your child or family member is being bullied at your school, you can report it on the Prince George’s Schools online application or report it in person at the same campus.
