As of 6:00 on September 1 (Friday), Typhoon No. 11 (Haikui) is moving west-northwest south of Okinawa. The central pressure is 985hPa, and the maximum wind speed near the center is 30m/s. It is expected to develop somewhat in the future and become a “strong” force.
From tomorrow 2nd (Sat) to 3rd (Sun), we will be closest to the Sakishima Islands in Okinawa. Storm winds of around 40m/s are expected to blow in the Sakishima Islands, and there is a risk of rough weather, so please prepare today.
In addition, since the pressure difference between Typhoon No. 11 and the Pacific High, which is spreading near Honshu, is increasing, a strong wind area is spreading to the north of the typhoon. Typhoon No. 12 Be careful even if it turns into a tropical cyclone
As of 6:00 on Friday, September 1st, Typhoon KIROGI is moving northwest in the waters near Minamitorishima. The central pressure is 992hPa, and the maximum wind speed near the center is 25m/s. After this point, it moves northwest around the Pacific High, and following making the closest approach to the Ogasawara Islands around Saturday, September 2, it heads south of Honshu.
Typhoon No. 12 is expected to gradually lose strength without a storm zone and turn into a tropical cyclone south of Japan by the 4th (Monday). Although the possibility of stormy weather due to the typhoon itself is low, it is expected to send active rain clouds over the Pacific Ocean side of western Japan and eastern Japan from Sunday 3rd to Monday 4th as it will bring in moist air from the South Seas.
