After the death of the model Silvina Luna, the doctor Aníbal Lotocki was once more under the magnifying glass.
Prosecutor Sandro Abraldes, in charge of Prosecutor No. 29 before the Criminal and Correctional Oral Courts, considered a little over a month ago that it was appropriate to order the “provisional disqualification” for the practice of medicine and “commerce in the aesthetic and cosmetic scope” of the surgeon Aníbal Lotocki, accused of causing “serious injuries” to four patients, including the model who remained hospitalized from June 13 to the date of her death.
The surgeon was sentenced in February 2022 by the Oral and Correctional Court 28 of the City of Buenos Aires to four years in prison and five years of disqualification from practicing medicine for the “serious injuries” caused to his patients by Silvina Luna, Gabriela Trenchi, Stefanía Xipolitakis and Pamela Sosa. But the sentence was not final.
In that case, it was determined that Lotocki caused injuries to the bodies of the four women with the use of a filler containing microspheres of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), in places of the body where their use is prohibited and in amounts greater than the suggested by the scientific community.
Among the alleged victims Aníbal Lotocki there are already three dead. One by one the names:
Silvina Luna
The model had two injections in the buttocks of a filler containing polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres. In the place where it was placed, its use is prohibited, as are the quantities, which were higher than those suggested by the scientific community.
Rodolfo Zarate
The patient decided to have a liposculpture and dermolipectomy in 2021 for the sum of $6,500, but he decompensated shortly following the intervention and was intubated by Lotocki’s team, although it was later determined that he was “badly intubated.” Due to the fact, the surgeon was prosecuted, although without pretrial detention, as the author of “simple homicide with eventual intent.”
Mariano Craparola
He died weeks ago following being operated on for kidney stones. In a recent interview he spoke of the doctor and said: “I can’t even name him. When I mention it, it causes me tremendous pain in my soul. I was even a guarantor of his clinic in Belgrano ”. Regarding the aesthetic operation he underwent, he did not give details but stated: “I did something stupid, for not thinking regarding the consequences; but you never think that a friend is going to betray you as he betrayed me, that he is going to inject you with death ”.
Gabriela Trenchi
Trenchi was another of the patients affected by the surgical interventions carried out by the controversial doctor and her health recently worsened to the point that she was admitted to the Italian Hospital, the same one where Silvina Luna was. She had also injected methacrylate, which caused severe kidney damage.
Stefania Xipolitakis
Stefi never gave details of her intervention but she appears in the case as a victim of methacrylate and came to call the doctor a “murderer” in her networks. “Your patients have a bomb in our body,” she said.
Vicky Xipolitakis
Like Stefy, the vedette admitted that she was operated on by the doctor in question, but unlike her sister in the media, she preferred not to prosecute her case or give details regarding it.
Pamela Sosa
He was a partner of the doctor for 8 years between 2006 and 2014. At first he defended him but then he started legal action along with the other three models. She claims that the injections Lotocki gave her caused diabetes and granulomas.
Fran Mariano
He was also hospitalized this year. He went with Lotocki to retouch his nose and chin and came out of surgery with his cheekbones retouched, for which he has been denouncing that the doctor operated on him without his consent.
