Indian football superstar Sunil Chhetri and his wife Sonam Bhattacharya have a baby boy. It is reported that the baby was born at a nursing home in Bengaluru at 11 am on Wednesday.
Sonam’s family and hospital sources said both mother and baby are healthy. The star revealed that his wife was pregnant during the Intercontinental Cup match held in June. After scoring the winning goal for the team, Chhetri, who put the ball inside the jersey, pointed the finger at Sonam, who had come to watch the game at the gallery. In an interview following the competition, the actor revealed that he and Sonam are expecting a baby.
Both are getting married in 2017. Sonam is the daughter of former Indian football player and manager Subrata Bhattacharya. Chhetri had taken a leave from football due to the birth of the child. Chhetri is not playing in the Indian squad for the King’s Cup to be held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from September 7 to 10. The actor will return for the Asian Games.
