In his podcast, Paul George, the Los Angeles Clippers winger, paid a nice tribute to his teammate, the French Nicolas Batum.
The tribute is particularly complimentary. And it’s signed by star Paul George. The winger paid tribute to one of his teammates in the Los Angeles Clippers NBA franchise, namely French international Nicolas Batum. George reacted in particular to the announcement made by the Habs. During the elimination of the France team in the first round of the World Cup, Batum announced his future international retirement. The latter will also intervene at the end of Paris 2024, following this last World Cup concerning him. A fortnight ago now, Nicolas Batum’s wife confided that he would actually stop following Paris 2024, but permanently. Therefore, this 2023-2024 season was shaping up to be his last in the NBA.
“A good guy, the kind you like to work with”
A few days ago, with the French sports daily The team, the winger finally returned to these famous remarks: “The selection, I stop following Paris 2024, that’s for sure. For the rest, many things are changing in high-level sport. You say something, a year later, everything changes. The decision, I will make it when the time comes. Stop everything in 2024? Maybe… but maybe not. As for Paul George, in his podcast he said: “ Nico is a competitor. He’s a good guy, the kind you like to work with, and he makes my life easier. We share our locker room in the training room, even in the different rooms, so we talk regarding everything. On the courts, it’s a Swiss army knife, it does everything. It’s the glue that keeps everything together. He defends on playmakers, interiors or pivots sometimes. He does a bit of everything for us. He is in his 17th or 18th year (note: he will play his 16th in 2023-24), he has been to the Olympic Games several times. He deserves praise. »
