AYF criticizes actor Jayasuriya for criticizing the state government by putting ministers on stage. Criticism that Jayasuriya’s Farmer Love is a crocodile tear for the promotion of his new movie. AIIF State Secretary TT Jismon said that Jayasuriya’s failure to criticize the central government for not paying the procurement price of paddy is cowardly.
AIYF said that the state government has paid the full amount and now the central share is to be paid. Agriculture Minister P. Prasad had criticized Jayasuriya’s remark that there was an agenda behind it.
But Jayasuriya clarified that he stands firm on criticism. The minister said that young people are not coming to agriculture. Jayasuriya said that the reasons were explained and the ministers wanted to know the plight of the farmers. K. Muralidharan MP also came forward in support of Jayasuriya. K. Muraleedharan asks why the ministers might have replied on the stage, instead of doing that, they only replied to the press.
Actor Jayasuriya lashed out at the government by describing the plight of farmers at the Kalamassery agricultural festival. Agriculture Minister P. Prasad and Industries Minister P. Rajeev were on the stage when the criticism once morest the state government was made. Jayasurya had said that our farmers should fast even on Thiruvanna day to bring the issues to the attention of the authorities.
