Sheikh Hassan Mereb posted a video on his account on the “Facebook” platform, in which he addressed the “open mind” group, saying: “You must all understand that the freedom of one person depends on the freedom of the other.”

He added, “I have nothing to do with what you practice inside your house. This matter is between you and the Lord of the Worlds, and I have no power over you or anyone else. As for this, this is not permissible in the street or in public places.”

And Merheb continued, addressing the journalist, Dima Sadiq, by saying: “Oh, dishonest journalist, if you like to have a boyfriend, to live in a cohabitation relationship, or even to be gay, then this is up to you, but it is not permissible to spread these immoralities and vices among us.”

And he added, “If you are very upset regarding Nour Hajjar, I have a question for you. Are you a Muslim? Do you believe in the Holy Qur’an?”

And Mereb continued, “You have to understand that we did not file an invitation once morest Nour Hajjar because he said a joke. We filed a call once morest him because he mocked the word of God and the Holy Qur’an.”

And he added, “It is long on your neck and his neck, it is long on our religion and our values.”

It is noteworthy that, “The comedian, Nour Hajjar, was summoned yesterday, Tuesday, to the military police barracks in Rihaniyeh, to sign the residency document following the end of the investigation with him, once morest the background of an old sketch in which the Lebanese army dealt.”
