The general physician at the Broadgate General Clinic in Britain, Johannes Uess, warned of 4 early symptoms of dementia that might appear before memory loss.
Owais said, according to the British newspaper “Express”, that the physical symptoms that appear before memory loss in dementia are unstable gait, tremors or stiffness in the extremities, stumbling and dropping things, and difficulty in coordination, meaning that patients cannot control their arms and legs.
He stressed that these symptoms can ring alarm bells, and they are more commonly associated with certain types of dementia, such as Parkinson’s disease dementia, adding that each individual may suffer from dementia differently, which makes the development of symptoms differ.
He called on individuals to consult a health care professional if any of these signs appeared on them or on a member of their family, stressing that early detection and intervention of the disease may contribute to managing symptoms and providing them with the appropriate treatment plan.
It is noteworthy that the British National Health Service provided several tips to reduce the possibility of dementia, including eating a healthy diet, reducing saturated fats, salt and sugar, increasing fiber intake, and practicing some sports such as brisk walking or cycling.
