It’s a phenomenon that only happens once every 10 or 20 years, according to NASA. Tonight, we will have to observe the sky and more precisely our natural satellite, because it will be transformed into a super blue Moon.
What is it regarding?
We speak of a blue moon when there are not one but two full moons in the same month. It only happens every two to three years because usually there are only 12 full moons in the year.
Tonight, in addition to witnessing a “blue moon”, we will enjoy a “super moon”, this is when the Moon comes closest to the Earth in its elliptical orbit, that is- that is to say less than 364,000km from our planet, 20,000km less than usual.
Tonight, our Moon will therefore be brighter and larger, but it will not be “blue” in color (this name comes from the English expression “blue moon”).

It would be a shame to miss this moment tonight because NASA predicts the next “super blue moon” in January 1937.
To observe it, it is best to get away from cities and pollution. Fans can also take out their binoculars or telescope.
For its part, NASA has posted a FAQ for those who should become unbeatable on the subject.
