The developer Ryan Carver presented yesterday a new app called Spreads. The tool was made targeting users of the Threads who want to post panoramic images on the platform in an uncomplicated way.
Spreads’ inspiration came from Carver’s own app, the Series. According to the developer, it all started following he observed the creative possibilities that Twitter competitor X brought to the sharing of panoramic photos.
As people explored different aspect ratios e fragmented their images by using Series, Carver recognized the opportunity to meet their photo editing needs.
That’s why the recently launched Spreads has resources exclusively aimed at Threads users. On the social network, Carver described it as an “apple app” that simplifies the photo editing process compared to Series.
I created Spreads to be the easiest way to create spreads for Threads. Series remains the best app for all types of layouts, but it’s overkill for many people.
Rather than complicate the Series with more options, I decided to create something that works for many more people in terms of features and price. If you already use Series, great! It will continue to evolve to do everything that Spreads can do.
With the app, users can easily create panoramic images with just a few taps, ranging from two to ten panels. Unlike Series, which requires a subscription, Spreads is available for a one-time purchase of R$15 in the App Store.
