South America – As part of the strict production quality control process, Nissan’s Japanese engineering tests every day on the test track each Frontier produced at the Santa Isabel Factory, in Córdoba, Argentina. The main objective is to deliver a safe pickup truck to consumers and contribute to a future with zero fatalities.
We leave for the test track with the Nissan Frontier… now what?
Attention to noise: engineering professionals detect whether there is internal or external noise in the cab, which may require mechanical adjustments.
Functionality check: test for ensure that the brakes, steering, gearshift, handbrake, suspension, among many others, work perfectly.
Static check: it is verified that all functions and equipment are in optimal condition. Some of them are: lights, horn, sound system, closing doors, operating windows, interior buttons, sunroof, seat heating, defroster, window cleaner, heating/air conditioning, seat adjustment, steering wheel controls, between others.
Dynamic test: the team checks the same points as in the static test, but this time with the Nissan Frontier in motion.
Inside hood inspection: confirmation that there are no fluid leaks, contacts between pipes or poorly assembled elements.
water test: Nissan Frontier is subjected to constant rain from different angles for approximately 30 minutes to ensure no water ingress.
After these six steps, the Nissan Frontier produced in Argentina and exported to Brazil, Chile and Colombia is ready to be delivered to consumers for a great driving experience. In line with its long-term vision and Nissan Ambition 2030 sustainability strategy, the company envisions a future with zero fatalities.
