The 2023/2024 UEFA Europa League group stage draw takes place on Friday 1 September.

The qualifiers

The draw concerns 32 teams: 12 qualified automatically, 10 winners of the Europa League play-offs and 10 teams transferred from the UEFA Champions League play-offs or the third qualifying round of the League path .

The date of the draw

The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 1.

Operation

The 32 teams will be divided into four groups according to the classification by coefficient of the clubs. The four pots will be confirmed on the morning of the draw.

No team may play once morest a team from its own association. Pairings and all other restrictions will be announced prior to the draw.

Three years later, the draw is back at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

Meetings

Matches will be confirmed following the draw. The group stage is played on Thursdays from 21 September to 14 December, the same evening as the UEFA Europa Conference League matches, with kick-off given at 6.45pm and 9.00pm.

The group winners qualify for the round of 16. The latter play in the knockout play-offs once morest the third-placed teams in the UEFA Champions League groups. The runners-up from each Europa League group qualify for the Europa Conference League knockout play-offs, where they will face the runners-up from the Europa Conference League groups for a spot in the Round of 16.

J6 : November 14th

After that

The draw for the knockout round, which will bring together the group runners-up and eight teams transferred from the Champions League, will take place on December 18.

The final

The 2023/24 Europa League season will end at the Dublin Arena. With a capacity of over 50,000, the stadium is the home ground of the Republic of Ireland’s national football and rugby teams.
