After he collided with another car on Gußriegelstraße at 4:45 p.m. – there was body damage, the occupants of both vehicles were uninjured – the man refused to exchange insurance data with the other driver. Before the police showed up and might record the accident, the 48-year-old went to the next host. As the State Police Directorate announced on Tuesday, the 48-year-old was found by officers from the city police command in a restaurant not far from the scene of the accident.
A spokesman for the state police said it was not clear from the police report whether he had a pitcher at the table at the time. What is certain is that the 48-year-old had a blood alcohol level of 2.64 and had to be arrested for the time being following he behaved aggressively towards the police officers and, in the further course of the official act, also threatened to kill the occupants of the other vehicle involved.
The recalcitrant 48-year-old is said to have injured an official who had to stop his service. The man, who is currently still in custody, is likely to be charged with resisting state authority and assault.
