Delhi High Court to remove the jersey of IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore from Rajinikanth film Jailer.

The Delhi High Court’s order came on a complaint filed by Royal Challengers Sports Pvt Ltd, owners of RCB, alleging that the film showed a villain wearing an RCB jersey and that the villain uttered anti-woman dialogues had defamed the club. The film’s crew informed the court that the jersey may be removed from the film.

The complaint was once morest Jailer producers Sun TV Network and Kalanithi Maran. The court directed them to edit and change the jersey or hide it in some other way before September 1.

The court also directed that the RCB jersey should not be displayed in any theater from September 1.

The filmmakers are of the opinion that they can change it so that they do not know that it is an RCB jersey. Sun TV Network has also assured that this correction will be applicable for television and OTT release as well.

Meanwhile Jailer has become a big hit in Tamil 17 days following its release. According to the figures released by Sun Pictures, the makers of Jailer, the film has already collected Rs 525 crore.

After 15 days of release, the film collected 525 crores and following 17 days, according to trackers, the collection of the film crossed 535 crores.

Reportedly, the collection will increase further as the weekend ends. Jailer became the highest-grossing Tamil film in India by surpassing the collection of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan One.

Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Vinayakan, Mohanlal and Siva Rajkumar are also lined up in the film.
