SNCF: the Avantage card sold at -50% until September 5

2023-08-28 16:40:25

If you wish to acquire or renew an Avantage card, the SNCF will offer it, from this Tuesday, August 29, with a 50% reduction. It thus goes to 24.5 euros instead of 49 euros. A reduction regularly offered at certain times of the year, such as during Black Friday.

The Avantage card notably allows you to benefit from reduced fares (-30% on journeys and -60% for accompanying children) on TGV Inoui, Intercités and TER trains in certain regions. It is available in the “Youth”, “Adult” and “Senior” versions. Customers then have up to five months following purchase to activate their card.

The SNCF promises “throughout the month of September promotions on its transport offers”. Without saying more, the company specifies that the TER, the TGV Inoui and Ouigo and the Intercités will be concerned by these offers. To which are added the offers already in force on the TER network in the Centre-Val de Loire, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Pays de la Loire regions.

If this Tuesday marks the launch of this promotion, it is also the increase of 10 euros in the ceilings beyond which train tickets are sold with the Avantage card. As announced in mid-July, the maximum prices of tickets purchased will be increased from 39 to 49 euros for journeys of less than 1h30, from 59 to 69 euros for those between 1h30 and 3 hours and from 79 to 89 euros beyond. of 3 hours. That is an increase of 13 to 25%.
