In a move that is the largest of its kind in the transfer market, the Saudi Al-Ittihad club is preparing to launch a huge offer on Mohamed Salah, which is somehow equal to Ronaldo’s historic contract with Al-Nasr, and Neymar’s deal with Al-Hilal.
According to a report reported by the American CBS network, the value of the new deal is 150 million euros (equivalent to 162 million US dollars) to win the services of the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, breaking the record in Saudi Arabia, which Al Hilal recently achieved by buying Neymar for 97 million dollars.
The proposed deal consists of $ 108 million in guaranteed payment, in addition to $ 54 million in performance-related bonuses, in addition to other items that may make Salah the highest deal in the history of the Saudi League.
For its part, the Saudi Federation hopes that the salary package it provides to Salah, which is comparable to the salaries of Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo, will be a strong motive for him to press for a move to Saudi Arabia.
Nevertheless, Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, stated earlier this month that “Salah is committed to staying at Liverpool, otherwise we would not have renewed the contract last summer.”
The federation hopes to persuade Salah to join the club by offering a salary comparable to that of Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo, whose salaries are believed to be around $216m annually when bonuses and endorsements are factored in.
However, his agent Ramy Abbas said earlier this month: “If we were thinking of leaving Liverpool this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed is committed to Liverpool.”
This new contract extends for an additional two years and makes Salah the highest-paid player in Liverpool’s history.
