The NFL is coming to Germany twice this year. At least one of the two games will take place in Frankfurt. We summarize what is already known and when further news can be expected.

At least one, but maybe both Germany games. The NFL was still very covered in its announcement. It is speculated that the league would generally prefer two games at the same location because the organizational effort would be much less. On the other hand, the selection of the teams indicates that one of the two games will take place in Munich. But more on that in a moment.
There will definitely be a game in Frankfurt in November. The head of the sports department, Mike Josef, has already confirmed this to hr-sport. The NFL usually announces the exact dates for the international games at the Super Bowl. This year it is on the night of February 12th to 13th.
The New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs are the home teams for the two Germany games. If both games don’t take place in Frankfurt, local fans can probably expect a Patriots game rather than a Chiefs game. Reason: Kansas City has been cooperating with Bayern Munich for a long time. If the NFL splits the two games, the Chiefs are more likely to push for a Munich game. The Patriots, on the other hand, have no ties to a specific German city.
Germany’s football fans will have to wait a little longer for the exact pairings. The schedule for the 2023 season will not be published until May. After all, the home game opponents of the Patriots and the Chiefs have already been determined. So here is a selection of teams that might come to Germany:

There is already wild speculation online as to which games will be played in Germany. The most common names: New England Patriots – Washington Commanders and Kansas City Chiefs – Detroit Lions. A side note: both the Commanders (David Bada) and the Lions (Amon-Ra St. Brown) have a German player in their squad.
Not until summer. July 19 was the deadline for the Munich game last year. On this day you might queue online and – if you weren’t very lucky – despair. Demand was huge and it will be once more this year. No matter which teams and how many games end up in Frankfurt.
However, if you want to get a ticket in the summer, you have to register your interest with the NFL beforehand. The league has it an online form provided that fans can already fill out.
