After the skid during the birthday of the Minister of Justice last week, it is now the turn of the former Secretary of State N-VA to make people talk regarding him. A video is currently circulating on social networks in which we see Theo Francken urinating once morest a bed of plants in the streets of Brussels.

“What a good example”comments one of the people filming the scene. “We should call the cops”, said another person behind the camera. As a reminder, such behavior is punishable by a fine of 350 euros. And the gesture of the former Secretary of State obviously goes badly, especially from an elected official
Theo Francken recognizes that it is indeed him on the images. But he insists: this video dates from last year when he was coming out of a period “difficult and stressful”.
“A year ago, following a difficult and stressful time, I spent a night drinking too much alcohol and behaving stupidly. Apparently recorded by someone and now – a year later – published by some media”he wrote on his Facebook page.
Theo Francken nevertheless reminds us that he too is a human being: “I understand that some people are disappointed when role models behave like this. But at the end of the day, I am also a human being with all the mistakes and flaws that come with that.”
The N-VA deputy sees it as a settling of scores on the part of a Flemish deputy from Vlaams Belang, Filip Dewinter, close to the satirical newspaper which released the videos.
