Through Twitter, the Mexican journalist José Ramón Fernández has reported that El Flaco is admitted to a hospital in Buenos Aires, describing his condition as “extremely delicate.” However, so far neither the Argentine Football Association (AFA) nor the Menotti family have provided details in this regard.

Career of César Luis Menotti
The 84-year-old strategist is considered one of the most influential figures in soccer history. His most outstanding achievement was leading Argentina to its first World Cup triumph in the 1978 edition.
A year later, he also won the Junior World Cup. Throughout his career, he played important roles in world-renowned teams such as Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Boca Juniors, River Plate and Peñarol.
Since 2019, he held the position of Director of Teams in the Argentine Football Association, playing a fundamental role in Argentina’s recent achievements, including the Copa América, the Finalissima and winning the third World Cup in its history in Qatar 2022.
