This Saturday followingnoon, took place the traditional fight which sees the shepherd David and Goliath opposing each other.
From the height of his eight years, Antoine Quittelier, who played the shepherd David, never flinched in the face of the Philistine giant.
He recited his Bonimée perfectly. A silence fell over the city. The crowd, who had come in their thousands, held their breath. Sure of himself, Antoine threw his ball right in the eye of the giant, offering an intense moment of emotion to the Athois.

They acclaimed him: “Thank you David, thank you!”. As tradition dictates, Mr. and Mrs. Goliath offered a 3rd “Grand Gouyasse” to their audience.
