Bengaluru: Team India is preparing for Asia Cup cricket. All the stars underwent a yo-yo fitness test. Captain Rohit Sharma, former skipper Virat Kodi, all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill all cleared the fitness test. Team combination is what is troubling India. Earlier, Selection Committee Chairman Ajit Agarkar had stated that KL Rahul will miss some of the early matches.
But he had started batting and keeping practice. But a different incident happened. Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill came to bat together. Former Indian player and batting coach Sanjay Bangar evaluated it as very positive. As he explains… “Sreyas and Gill were watching batting. Senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were tested together to familiarize themselves with the situation if they get out early. Players must know each other’s game. True they have been playing for a long time. But it’s good to see these combinations in training sessions,” Bangar said.
